About the artist
Sabira Mammadova is an Azerbaijani artist born on 12 December 1990. She lives and works in Baku, where she runs a private studio near the Gara Garayev metro station in the Nizami district. She graduated from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Painting. In her artistic practice she works with various techniques including oil painting, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, as well as graphic materials such as pencil and charcoal. Her work explores genres such as portrait, landscape, and still life, and includes both realist and surrealist approaches. She has participated in international exhibitions and festivals, and her works are held in collections abroad.
