About the artist

Nureddin Yaqubov Mahyeddin oglu is an Azerbaijani artist born on 8 July 1980 in the Saray settlement of the Absheron district. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics in 2003. Since 2006 he has been actively engaged in artistic practice. He has collaborated with sculptors and participated in the creation of various artistic and architectural projects. Among them is the sculpture “Dilboz Horse”, a symbol of the Gazakh region, as well as several projects organized by the YARAT Contemporary Art Center. He also contributed to the improvement of the Martyrs’ Alley in Nakhchivan and participated in the creation of artistic installations including the “Armudu Glasses” composition located near the Shirvanshahs’ Palace. Since 2009 he has regularly participated in exhibitions and art projects in Azerbaijan and abroad.
