About the artist

Nigar Muslimova is an Azerbaijani artist, art therapist, and a master of glaze painting on ceramics. She was born on March 31, 1999. She graduated from the “Rusinka” art school in Volzhsky (Volgograd region) in 2011 and from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts in 2019. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and since 2025 a member of Arts Council. She is a certified specialist accredited by EAP, WCP, OPPL, and the Union of Psychotherapists and Psychologists (2023). She works in classical oil painting in the style of magical realism and is also active in ceramics. She has completed state commissions, including ceramic panels for the “Nasimi Bağları” resort complex in Shamakhi, a panel for the 13th-century Albanian church in Nij (Gabala region), and a fountain for the Eastern Bazaar. She has illustrated books by Azerbaijani and international authors. She has participated in numerous international and national exhibitions, including projects in New York, Paris, and Berlin. Currently, she is preparing for a solo exhibition and works as an art therapist. Her works are held in private collections as well as in the Azerbaijan Shipping Museum, the Eastern Bazaar, the Albanian church in Nij, the “Nasimi Bağları” complex, the EU headquarters in Baku, and the U.S. Embassy.
