Kamran Kerimli is an Azerbaijani artist born in 1986 in the city of Sumgait. Between 2004 and 2007 he pursued incomplete higher medical education. From 2011 to 2015 he studied at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Decorative and Applied Arts (tapestry). His artistic practice focuses on both figurative and non-figurative abstract painting. He has participated in several exhibitions within Azerbaijan and is a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan. In his work he uses various materials including oil paint, tempera, watercolor and pastel. He currently lives in the village of Pirekeshkul in the Absheron district and works as a stage prop and decoration artist at the Azerbaijan State Theatre for Young Spectators.
