About the artist
Chinare Soltanova is an Azerbaijani artist born in 1996 in the city of Shamakhi. She received her first higher education in philology at Baku State University and later graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts with a degree in easel painting. She works in her personal studio. In her artistic practice she uses various materials including wood, canvas, paper and cardboard, mainly working with oil-based and mixed techniques. Her creative approach is experimental in nature, grounded in academic tradition and incorporating metamodernist artistic explorations.
